One good reason why people say that
Tuguegarao has been improving and progressing over the years is that they could actually see several educational, governmental and more prevalently, commercial establishments sprouting in the city. And it isn't only in the Centros, composed of 12
barangays, where you could actually see those new establishments. They are all over Tuguegarao. The
barangays of Ugac Sur and Norte, Caritan Centro, Norte and Sur and other adjacent
barangays has been the recipient of the urban spill - over from the Centros and the barangays of Carig Sur and Buntun are slowly turning into big commercial hubs of their own.
